<br>Position: Linux Kernel Developer
<br>
<br>Responsibilities:
<br>1.        Responsible for developing, upgrading and supporting future versions of embedded Linux and uClinux running on processors
<br>2.        Ensuring that customers have the tools and understanding of how to optimize the Linux kernel for their environments
<br>3.        Supervision of various contractors may be done for various &quot;heavy lifting&quot; projects, such as porting kernel to new architectures, or new devices
<br>4.        Responsible for ensuring uClinux kernel meets defined performance metrics & assists test engineer in performing automated benchmarking on new kernel, new drivers or new compiler
<br>5.        Responsible for own and contractor code being check back into the main line source tree at kernel.org.
<br>
<br>Requirements:
<br>1.        B.S. or M.S. EE/CSE/CS or equivalent experience
<br>2.        3-5+ yrs of Linux kernel development experience
<br>3.        Experience in C / C++ / Assembly
<br>4.        Familiarity with embedded microprocessors (PowerPC, ARM, SH) a plus
<br>5.        Driver development experience in the Linux environment
<br>6.        Understanding of media and networking applications at the systems level
<br>7.        Sound documentation and decision making skills
<br>8.        Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
<br>9.        Should have gone through the whole cycle of software development of a product.
<br>10.        Commitment to sound software engineering practices, and the open source movement.
<br>11.        Ability to work with other open source developers, and check code into other's projects.
<br>
